Henry Douglas

Henry is a confident creative thinker, who specialises in graphic editorial design. He has a very good understanding and application of appropriate visual experimentation, prototypes and print production processes. He has a passionate interest in creating cultural change through design and his sound application of critical analysis helps to develop strong and diverse creative ideas. Henry's creativity and problem solving skills have been shown to pay off specifically when it comes to advertising and marketing design and approaches to text, in particular type setting.

Henry has worked with a range of companies and private clients producing work to a required specification, whilst also adding his own personal ideas and concepts. He takes pride in his work, whilst his professionalism along with his positive and experimental stance on life shines through in the work that he produces. He has developed a sound focus on transferable and professional design skills that will credit any future design work.

Behind TimeWhat is time? A project exploring the meaning of time. A short visualisation of daily commuters struggling to grasp hold of their time management.
Using a selection of different visual design methods in order to create a change in perspective. The content chosen were lyrics from Travis Scotts Album Astroworld.
Masqualero, a song written by Miles Davis which led to American type designer Jim Ford creating a typeface from. In this project Henry combines the music as well as the type to create a website that celebrates both. A brief set by Monotype.

A self orientated brief, resulting in a series of minimal posters, all inspired by the works of Australian designer Nick Barclay. The posters are all themed around some of the most successful sports teams from around the world.
