James Scott
James is a relatively new student when it comes to art, picking it up in 2017. Since then he has spent time pushing his art in different mediums and styles, honing his skills and working on character illustrations. He has made multiple album covers for music students and logos for smaller freelance businesses. These include music artist Neon Blue with his first two albums and singles. The businesses are an animal behaviourist and a guitar tutor.
This animation was from when James taught himself how to create a rotascope on his own of a man doing a form of Chinese martial art and then used references of other animation to create the flames.
This is a cover illustration of the book Tell Tale Heart which shows the house the story takes place in using traditional lineart and crosshatching and digital painting. The heart silhouette on the floorboards is a reference to a later scene.
An illustration of the same house at the beginning of the book just before the story truly turns dark. Used like a "scene setter".
Another look at the floorboards in the house at the end of the story which was done completely traditionally other than the gradient using Ohuhu Markers and fineliners.
