Sophie Franklin

Sophie is a talented, hardworking, and conscientious young woman who has shown a large amount of determination and aptitude within her chosen field of Colour Grading. Her dedication to helping her fellow students has been recognised throughout the duration of her time at Ravensbourne, where she received multiple Student Rep awards from the Student Union and the Special Staff Award as part of the Editing and Post Production Awards 2020.

Sophie has experience working with a diverse range of clients, from fellow Ravensbourne graduates to professional companies such as Netflix. Her previous work spans across many genres whether it be music videos, short films, or feature-length documentaries with her work being submitted to various festivals around the world.

Sophie's work experience also includes over 2 years collectively as a post house runner including companies such as Envy, logging for Eurosport and is now promoting herself as a freelance Colourist.

Sophie Franklin colour graded this piece which was part of a passion project from cinematographer Scott Buxton. She drew on influences from the Renaissance era, with Rembrandt’s paintings playing a large part of the colour palette.
Noble PrizeSophie Franklin had the pleasure of colour grading this project at the end of 2019. A beautiful love story shot in the South of France. She worked alongside the DOP to create a stunning piece of work.
Pero no Pasa Nada was a collaboration project with Pablo Herrera, a student on Digital Film Production, for his Final Major Project. This beautiful story of his upbringing was so moving, and Sophie loved every minute of working with him.
Life in the Dream was one of the films that Sophie graded in 2019 for students studying their masters at Goldsmiths University. This piece was a dream to grade and she has worked with the DOP many times since.
