A portion control cup - When designing, Kerrie wanted to include a portion control aspect within a bubble tea kit, as there appears to be health issues with excessive intake. Additionally, existing bubble tea kits uses an absurd amount of plastic. For the tapioca pearls, the aim was to design a multi-purposeful packaging which contains one portion serving of tapioca pearls. Once the top has been torn, instead of creating a throw away culture, the empty packaging can be used as a portioning sized scooping cup.
For this collaborative project, a check in experience was designed for Holiday Inn hotel, that is positive and welcoming. The typical check-in experience can be tedious and lengthy. A kiosk machine was designed not only as a self-check-in service but also has a map which shows you the local area of the Holiday Inn, this includes food and attractions. From the current Holiday Inn check-in method, is done through paper documents, which is lengthy. Therefore, this kiosk design will cut out queue times and filing documents, instead, digitally scanning passports and receiving card payments.
