Dissolvable Noodle PackagingTo eliminate the excessive plastic sachets in instant noodles, spices and flavourings are set into an edible, dissolvable starch-based film. The film dissolves in contact with boiling water, releasing the flavours into the broth. For hygiene purposes, the noodle parcels are packaged in a wax-coated paper outer.
In the current world of instant noodles, there is often more plastic than noodle. Dissolvable Noodle Packaging allows for a sustainable option for the convenience meal.
Recycle Republic identifies your plastic waste, then tells you where to stick it. The three pronged attack educates and rewards users for sustainable plastic disposal. The near infrared Plastic Scanner shines a light on your plastic waste, analysing the reflection wavelengths to identify the plastic.
The Recycle Republic service rewards and motivates eco-friendly plastic disposal. Users are rewarded with points, leading to discounts with sustainable brands for using local sustainable disposal points. Plastic waste can range from packaging, to everyday items such as pens and toothbrushes, to ensure every item of household plastic waste is ending up in the right place.
The Recycle Republic app advises how to dispose of each plastic in the most sustainable way. The Plastic Scanner works eye to eye with the user’s phone camera, to identify the type of plastic, and the item shape to inform the most eco-friendly disposal method in their area. Users can educate themselves about plastic and each type’s recyclability, as well as browse a range of discounts to redeem.
