Daniele Monardo
Daniele Monardo is an experimental and explorative designer specialising in illustration and animation. Having always been passionate about the illustration medium and how it can tell compelling stories and experiences, his work explores day-to-day mundane activities put into surreal scenarios or full length story telling. He works in both comic book or short film format.
Daniele often shifts focus from the technical standpoint and highlights the importance of a strong identity behind the design of the work. This has given him scope for exploration and a body of work that has evolved in a short time frame.
The Beatmaker is a short film about the life of three musicians after they are faced with the biggest question of all - to pursue the dream or walk away from it. The film details the characters’ individual thoughts and feelings about their current situation and how they got to this turning point in their lives. This is the debut short film by TERIYAKICAPSULEMARKET who teamed up with editor Oscar Carter for the production of the film.
