Ruby Hagemeier is a character designer, background artist and 2D animator with a love for world building and storytelling. Her aim is to design a diverse cast of characters and tell LGBTQ+ stories, to use her own voice and normalise queer characters in media who don’t immediately fall into exhausted stereotypes. She also adores plants, pirates and witches, and so tries to bring a spark of magic into everything she creates.

She loves working on a wide range of creative projects, from stop motion sets and background art to cardboard puppeteering. Ruby has worked with clients such as Mashed, Penny 4, Jake Pemberton, Bry and others. She is also a published book illustrator. Her dream is to work in 2D TV animation.
