Aaron Diamond

Aaron is a motion designer who specialises in problem-solving. He is competent in creating designs involving a variety of production methods. His passions lie in the sports realm with a desire of entering into the world of branding or advertising in the future. In his work, he pays particular attention to creating memorable characters and elements which are simple, yet effective. His most successful project was his final major where he explored the modern language of sports television graphics and created a unique, hypothetical Chess Channel for the purpose of the mainstream media.

Experience includes a freelance intern role with Earth London and Silverfish films, both involving working on separate BBC projects. He has also other graphic design projects for smaller clientele. Recently, Aaron has also landed a fixed term role with Sports Interactive as a UI Motion Designer, where he will contribute to animating the newest Football Manager releases.

For his Final Major Project, Aaron devised a brand identity for a hypothetical chess sports and games channel, aiming to elevate the sport into mainstream media. This is a compilation of the supporting elements created to establish the brand beyond the channel assets themselves.
Aaron created a this piece for a film adaptation of the book 'Only You Can Save Mankind', originally written by Terry Pratchett. The morality of contemporary society is a key theme within the book. The sequence mixes 2D and 3D styles and illustrates the parallel between the real world and my own spin on 1990's game culture.
