The Block Project is a charity and creative agency based in Dagenham, specifically Romford & Chadwell Heath. These areas are especially deprived, with Dagenham falling on the border between Essex and London, a forgotten area where neither Council takes responsibility for the young people who live there. We need to recognise that there are young people here desperate to change their lives, who just don’t have the resources to do so. Young people want something to do, they want somewhere to go, but there are limited resources available to them.

The Block Project works to equip young people out of options to navigate the creative industry, despite their financial situation. We offer free creative workshops and mentoring, with real industry professionals, to help young people start their creative career.
